I really want to get my hair highlighted. What is it called when you get your hair highlighted but when you put it up in a pony tail it is still dark underneath?? I love that! Can anyone find a picture of it?? thanks loves!

I believe what you are describing is a partial, as opposed to a full, "foil" or "weave."

You just ask them to highlight the top layer only. Its called a weave.

I know what your talking about. But I can't remeber what it's called. When you go to the salon, just tell them what you want highlighted, and they should know what you are talking about. It's funny because that's what I'm getting my hair highlighted like too!

If you go to a good salon and talk to the stylist about what you want then make sure they understand what you are asking for you shouldn't need a picture. The salon itself should have plenty of books with pictures in them. You can also buy hair books at any bookstore. Good Luck

i think its called highlights and lowlights, but im not positive so just ask your hairdresser she`ll know what you mean.
