Will my highlighting kit still work if I have mousse in my hair?

I just put mousse in my hair this morning, just a palmfull but it says to wash it out if there's a lot of product build up and then wait 24 hours before highlighting but I want to do mine now. Would my hair still highlight with a bit of mousse?

Whoa whoa. Do NOT listen to her. Sometimes before i highlight my hair, the day before i specifically put alot of product in my hair.

If you can actually feel the mousse in you hair then don't do it. Wash your hair tonight and then wait another 24 hours since you're not supposed to dye hair that is freshly washed. If you can't feel the mousse and there isn't much in your hair go ahead.

I just want to warn you though, if you have brown hair or darker, that highlighting kit probably won't work. They usually turn dark hair orange, not blonde. Trust me, I had medium brown hair and used a L'Oreal one once and I had orange/brassy highlights for a week until having to get them fixed at a salon. If you want natural great-looking highlights, go to a salon.

don't wait 24 hours.just wash ur hair now and highlight ur hair.
