Help! I highlighted by hair at home and it doesn't look good.?

I bought a at home highlighting kit to try and add some color to my hair. I have dark brown hair and wanted blonde highlights. It looks terrible! It turned more of an orange red. And the color is all of my hair on top. It doesn't have any of the streaks that I thought was going to happen. Is it ok to buy a dark hair color and recolor it all one color? I just did this yesterday and need it fixed for tomorrow. Please help!!

If you re dye your hair on fresh streaks that were suppose to be lighter than your own hair colour then when you dye your hair again it will dye the so called streaks even more darker which will still be visible. I recommend that you get a hair dye removal kit %26amp; then use that I dye your hair 2 days after using it. You have to be careful with these kits they can say leave on 20 mins %26amp; they are very strong %26amp; within 29 mins it can strip your own natural colour to, so when you see your natural colour back it is time to rinse.

yes. definitely die it back to a dark color. next time you try highlighting, spray a lightener on the places you want to highlight daily for about 1 week before you want to highlight your hair. try sun in for lightning hair.

never ever try to change dark hair to a different color that's the hardest hair color to change. u can change blonde and a light brown but not dark colors very hard to do just buy regular hair die and color the entire thing whole again if u want highlight go to the salon for that but coloring your hair darkbrown it's easy so your can color it home hope my advice helps.
