I have highlights and lowlights...i want to grow out my hair...but the easiest way for me always has been to perm my hair to get curls.....should i do this? Should i get a body perm? How do i know if my hair is healthy enough?

Your stylist should know what perm is safe for color/highlighted hair. Ask lots of questions about care of it afterwards and be sure to buy the products recommended to keep it from getting dry.

no i dont think i would perm my hair that soon after i got it highlighted. id be afraid that it would cause my hair to dry out too much...give it like 3-4 weeks and then get it permed...thats my best advice to you. then remember to condition it real well.

no because the chemicals in the perm is way to strong my sister did that and her hair is falling out alot so yeah i dont think you should do it until the highlites are in for a while...

if you just got highlights you should not perm your hair because perm can damage your hair like that so wait a while before you get a perm you dont want your hair to fall out

You get your highlights 10-14 days after your perm. Buy the mild formula for color treated hair. I do not know anything about a body perm. I always get a relaxer added to my hair.
