Should I highlight my hair or not?

I have brown hair that is a little darker than light brown, but not dark brown. It has some preally pretty natural highlights in it, especially cuz i've been in the sun all summer. But, i've been wanting to dye my hair or get it highlighted for a while know, and my mom finally said ok, but now i'm kinda having second thoughts. i really like my natural color, but i really wanna go lighter.

p.s. if i get the highlights, i can still grow my hair back and it will be the same color it is now, right?

I have the exact same hair color as yours!! I have a few natural highlights too. I just got my hair highlighted today and I luv it! Yes, it will grow back to the same color if you don't get touch-ups.

yes. youll just have ugly outgrowth, nd its difficult to do a touch up on highlighted hair

If I knew what I know now about haircolor and highlights I never and I mean NEVER would have done a thing to my natural color. I started in highschool and continued pretty much ever since. I've tried all diffrent styles and colors and in the end all I was left with was damaged hair which is hard to find the natural color with box color. After all highlighted hair ONLY looks good when your roots aren't noticable. After they appear (which will happen every 3 or 4 weeks) it gets to be more of a chore to get them done..it takes forever, it costs so much, sometimes it looks good..sometimes it doesn't. Keep your pretty natural healthy hair. In the end you'll be much happier. God wanted you to have that haircolor after all.
