I had black hair for about 2 years now, and wanted a change! So i bleached it blonde, it did not take all my black out, just made it look like crap, so I bought another bleaching kit! and the same damn thing happened, also made my hair really yucky feeling. I've died my hair 4 times with bleach this month and only got it to light brown, and pretty much bleach on top!
I have NEVER had this problem before, so I said f it and died the bottom of my hair blue black and my bangs. The blonde (spose to be) is 2 different colors.
The hair dye I like using is (something) 100% lol They have awsome conditioner that leaves your hair SMOOTH!!
I am not sure of what color you are trying to get, so need to specify that in your question. If your going blonde that's different, going brown, red etc is all different steps.
I want to get black dye out of my hair How do I do it without cutting it? Should I put in some highlights?
the best way to do it, is go to a hair salon. explain to them exactly what you want to do + im sure they will do their best for you.
if you do it at home, thats taking a risk if you dont know what youre doing.

You need to go to a hair salon and ask them to help you.

Only a salon can properly strip the black dye out without causing major damage. Please do not attempt this.

If you want to change colors, you need to bleach it first. Then put the color you want in it. Get professional advice before you do anything drastic. Go to Sally beauty supply and consult one of the workers they know what they are doing. They helped my mom go from black to red without any problems, and she did it herself.

I would be worried that the highlighting chemicals would react with the black dye, and you'd end up with green highlights or something! I saw a product in the store called color remover. It was on the aisle with the hair dyes. You will probably end up with reddish hair after removing it. Definitely do the test strand!

if u still have the box call the number on the box and tell them what happen they might tell how to fix it or u could always go to a salon and get fix never fixed a dye problem at home u can make it worst and damage your hair

There is a product that you can purchase that will strip the color out of your hair. Check the beauty supply store 1st (I wish I could remember the darn name of it) Maybe even call them and ask them if they carry the product, that way, once you have the information, you can get it from CVS or Walgreens. A good beauty consultant at Walgreens will be able to help you. It's been over a year since I worked there and I can see the box, just not the darn brand.
I'd call the beauty supply store 1st.

The color needs to be stripped from your hair but go to a pro and they can fix it without a lot of damage.

careful. ive had black hair, and i wasnt careful and if you use wrong bleach you will look like a calico. so heres my advice. pick the color that you want, and check to see if you can get it done professionally cheap, and if not, buy a self belaching kit and then do the color that you want.... trust me i work in a hair salon......
peace

do NOT highlight it. go to a salon and let them change the color for you.
