First time highlighting my hair?

i'm 16 years old %26amp; i've never died my hair in my life before yesterday.

my hair is naturally dark brown almost black. i honestly never really wanted to highlight my hair at all but unfourtunatley i let my mom talk me into it yesterday(mistake) to get thin highlights ONLY light brown almost matching the color of my hair. i expected it to be like a chocolate brown but it came out like a honey brown which is too light for me %26amp; i didn't like it(the lady told me she was planning on "surprising me" by changing it to a lighter color)

i really don't like it. so is there any shampoo that can wash out my highlights, or what else can i do??

The only thing you can do is dye all your hair back to the original color. Sounds to me like she did not want to surprise you, she just messed up. Or you could wait for it to grow out.

oh that sucks!! that was not a good thing for your hairdresser to do. i would just dye it back to your natural color.

Unfortunatlu you can't wash out highlights if you get them done professionally. Just go back and ask her to fix it for you. You paid for them, so you should get them the way that you want your highlights to look. They should re-do it for you for free to keep you and you're mom's buisness.

u cant just remove them if your hair was bleached and the color is permanent...if you want it gone now your best bet is to just go to the drugstore and get a box of permanent color closely matching your own shade and follow the instructions for all over head color....or go back to the place and insist they fix it because it was not what you wanted.

You can get some kind of rinse for it like Fanci-Full Color Refreshing Rinse to put your natural color back in.

i dnt really know how ur hair looks but honey brown sound like it wold look good on dark brown and plus have fun experience new things, even if u dont think it looks good, others might. also, wow u mom WANTED u to get highlights? i had to beg my mom for like 5 months before she let me

Well unless it is a wash out dye you can't wash it out. If the highlights are too light you can always go for a darker color for the highlights and dye over it. I would think a dark red or like a chocolatey Brown would be nice too. Its no biggie.. if you want to dye your whole head your normal color and start over you can do that too just wait a couple days in between colorings so you dont dry your hair out. Dont think of dying your hair as this bad thing have fun with it, show your uniqueness!!

theres nothing that you can do. it won't wash out. the only thing you could do is re-dye it to your original color. but that usually makes matters worse. you'd have to let it grow out. trust me i know. i dyed my hair back to its original color, and then after a while it turned bleach blond!!! so i've been growing it out since summer.

i dont think there are any shampoos ( you can throw a shampoo bottle at the person who did your hair lol =D)

Go back to the place it was done, speak to the manager and tell them this is not what you wanted. Tell them the hairdresser said she wanted to surprise you with a lighter shade than what you had asked for and then politely demand they fix it by dying your hair back to the original colour. And make sure your mom is with you if they decided they don't need to speak with a 16 year old so she can back you up.
